With the company founded by Kurt Bodinger in 2000, IP Austria Communication became the first Austrian company to launch a development project for a packet-switched telephone network. Just two years later, the company entered the market and successfully implemented its first projects.

IPA Communications was founded with five employees at Anton-Baumgartnerstraße 125, 1230 Vienna.

Kurt Bodinger

Founder

He started in telecommunications in 1976. Beginning as a young technician and later working in marketing and sales, he founded IP Austria in 2000, Austria’s first IP provider.

Richard Polasek

Managing Director

Formerly a developer at Siemens in telephone-system development, he soon moved to the mobile communications division as development manager and later worked as a database specialist at Bet and Win. Today he is CEO of IP Austria.
